So Sorry Sympathy Card

Like many others, I'm battling a nasty cold, and getting cranky and itching to be out and about.  But, indoors I stay, keeping warm, drinking tea, water, taking my vitamins and sleeping...a lot!  Most importantly, I'm not sharing my germs.  Just in case there is someone out there who is not sick!

So, of course, my craft room is where I long to be when I'm stuck indoors.  I need to catch up on some thank you cards, and, sadly, a couple of sympathy cards.  I just finished this sympathy card, which I will send out today.

Stamps:  My Favorite Things Delicate Pretty Poppies clear
Die:  Our Daily Bread Double Stitched Circles
Tombow markers
Tim Holtz distress ink

For the floral panel, I stamped two of the poppies from the clear set, masking and inking with antique linen distress ink, so the lines would disappear when I colored them.  I watercolored the poppies and leaves with Tombow markers and a watercolor brush, laying color down with the marker, then spreading it with the wet brush.  I spattered the background with Tombow ink and a wet brush.

I cut the circle using partial die cutting, as seen in Jennifer McGuire's video HERE .  Then I fussy-cut around the flowers, then taped some specialty mulberry paper behind the opening, and adhered it to a green A2 card, using craft foam for dimension.  I stamped the sentiment onto a green scrap, and adhered it.  That's it.

I am adding my card to these challenges:

Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge - Anything but Christmas

Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge - Anything goes

Thank you for visiting.

Be blessed,

lynda
