Hello, and welcome. Today I am saying goodbye to August with one last card for the Altenew Inspiration Challenge this month. The challenge inspiration is...
And here is my card:
I created another distress oxide ink panel, cut it down, and added it to a soft green A2 card. I used my Clarity brush to add some blue distress ink along the edges of the card. I added a thin gold strip along the border also.
For the main image, I used Altenew's floral image from their One Of A Kind stamp set, along with the verse. For coloring, Caron D'Ache Neocolor II watercolor crayons. I cut this out with a My Favorite Things die, and added a die from Spellbinders along the upper right and lower left from gold card stock. Foam tape to adheres it to the card for added dimension and interest.
I used my Cropodile to make gold embellishments from the same gold card stock.
Keeping it clean and simple tonight. Thanks for visiting!
Blessings,
lynda

Magenta Card With Distress Oxide Inks
I had so much fun playing with my new distress oxide inks today! I kept putting off purchasing them, but finally did it...and I am so glad I did. I love, love, love them! I churned out several background panels today during my play time. Here is the first finished project.....
I used a Magenta stamp 040327-N, and embossed it onto one of my distress oxide background panels, then cut it out. I layered it onto a blue card stock panel, on which I had stamped some script.
On a blue A2 card, I used gel medium to attach white tissue paper with tiny silver speckles in it. To attach, I first wadded up the tissue, then opened it up and used gel medium to attach the tissue to the card front. This created crevices and texture. I used my Clarity brushes and distress inks to add colors to the tissue paper card front.
Here is a close-up of the tissue paper and also the distress oxide stamped panel....
I colored the butterflies with Caran D'Ache neocolor II crayons.
I am adding my card to the Happy Little Stampers mixed media challenge, which is to use tissue paper on your creation.
I hope you are enjoying these last couple of days of August. Thanks for stopping by.
Blessings,

Inpsirational Scripture Card
I love this scripture verse from Romans 8:28. It's the perfect inspiration to send to a friend or loved one who needs a little encouragement.
For the verse, I used a stamp from Our Daily Bread Designs from their Scripture Collection 1 set. I embossed it onto some vellum and attached it to the background.
I created the background with the Anna Griffin Poppy embossing folder by Cuttlebug. It's one of my favorites. I inked the folder with Tim Holtz distress inks in pinks, oranges, and yellows/greens, then spritzed it ever so lightly, and pressed it together onto watercolor paper. I have to admit, I did a little happy dance when I opened the folder!
I decided that the background really needed to show, so I chose to do the verse on vellum. I refreined from embellishing any further, as the background is quite busy, and I didn't want to take away from it or the verse.
I am adding my card to these challenges:
Word Art Wednesday - Use scripture verse
The Flower Challenge - Background
Simon Says Stamp Work-It-Wednesday - What you're working on
Sunday Stamps Challenge - Use colors
Thanks so much for stopping by.

A Simple Rose Card
Hello, and welcome! Today I took another stab at a CAS card...
For me, this is difficult. I like to add pretty embellishments, background interest, yadda, yadda. It is difficult for me to leave so much space. Having said that, I kind of like the look.
I started with an A2 top folded light gray card. I stamped the rose (from my unmounted stash, so I don't know who it is. I believe it may be Me and Carrie Lou), and wishing you well (Hero Arts from one of their old wood sets). I colored the rose with Polychromos colored pencils. I added one tiny embellishment...on one of the leaves, a sparkling crystal by Studio Katia.
I masked the rose, and added the green misty background with a Clarity brush and Tim Holtz distress ink. The dotted borders along the left side are from an Impression-Obsession clear set (WP-31 Borders). I added the dots with one of my Micron fine point Zentangle pens.
That's it. Really clean, really simple (for me). I am adding my card to these challenges:
AAA Cards Challenge - Masking
Casology Challenge - Prickly
Happy Little Stampers CAS Challenge - Flower
The Paper Players - CAS coloring
Thanks so much for stopping by. Enjoy your last few days of August!
