Impression Obsession Die Cut Obsession - Moose Scene

Welcome to Die Cut Obsession!  Today IO designers are featuring IO's dies on our blogs.  I am using the Moose Scene die from the summer 2020 release on my card today.
IO Stamps/Dies Links:

I cut the Scenic Moose die and used daubers to add distress inks to the die cut.  I placed a second die cut (which I had cut from paper) onto some scrap white card stock, and added color through the die cut, using the same colors as I had for the original die.

I stacked the die cut onto the scrap piece, which I had used a circle die to cut slightly smaller than the moose die.
I used pp for my background on a brown A2 card front.  I added a layer, then the die cut with foam tape.

I added the Get Well Wishes verse, and that was it.

I hope you are enjoying the die cards on our blogs today.  You can see the other designers' cards HERE.  Thanks so much for stopping by.  We will be back soon with more new dies to inspire you and get your creative juices going.  You can see the new dies HERE!

Impression Obsession Challenge - Play With Your Food

Welcome to our Play With Your Food challenge at Impression Obsession.  I'm jumping in a little late with my card.  I seem to be losing track of time a lot lately.

IO stamp/dies links:
Life Is Sweet D12219
Jam Jar Fruits DIE828-V
Jam Jar DIE827-YY

I used the Jam Jar die for my 'bowl.'  I just cut the top off.  I added the bowl with foam tape tape white panel, onto a peach card.

I used sponge daubers with distress ink to add shading to my die cut fruits, and added them to the bowl.  I stamped the verse, layered it, fussy cut, and added it to the card.

Easy-peasy, and oh so fun!

Be sure to check out the other dt's projects HERE.

Thanks so much for visiting.

Today we are showcasing some of our older stamps from the Impression Obsession line.

I am using one of our Gary Robertson digi images for my card today.  All of Gary's stamps are available in rubber, or digital.  You can find his entire line HERE.

Toadstools Digital Image

I printed out the image, and colored it with Arteza Everblend alcohol markers.  I cut the image with a die, and added it to an A2 card with pp.

Country Church Card

Well, this is my final card for the WWDB (What We Do Best) challenge at Technique Junkies. Today is the last day of the challenge.  I have created 28 cards in all, and I loved making these cards and sending them.  This challenge was all about acknowledging people who are on the front lines of the Covid 19 pandemic,  people who need encouragement to deal with their fears and health through this ordeal, those who are working in essential business and stores, and all of us who are trying to cope and get through this.

My card today uses the Technique Junkies stamp Country Church, and I love the simplicity of this quaint little church.

I stamped the  image onto white card stock, and used my Misti to add color.  I used Ranger archival inks for the image, for their permanence.

I used distress inks with daubers to apply the sky colors, and to add color to the church.  I used color pencils to add some highlights and touches to the church.  When finished, I stamped over the image one more time to add back the details.

A peace die from my stash seemed the perfect sentiment for this card.

I hope you have enjoyed this challenge.  Don't forget to use my code, TJ10Lynda, for 10% off your entire purchase any time you shop at the Technique Junkies store.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  I appreciate your visits and comments.  Stay safe and well.

Impression Obsession Die Cut Obsession

It's Impression Obsession's Die Cut Obsession time.    There are so many fabulous dies in the IO line, and today we are featuring some of them on our blogs.

I have a 'thing' for leaves, branch, and trees.  And I really love this Leafy Branch die.  I use it often when I make cards or on other projects.

IO Die/Stamp links:

I created a swatch of color diagonally on my card front with distress ink and a brush applicator.  I used the Leafy Branch die cut as a stencil.

I brushed ink through the negative part of the stencil, after removing the die cut.
I repeated this, using different portions of the hand made die cut 'stencil.

I stamped the Sending a hug verse from the Warm Fuzzies Sentiments set with archival purple ink.

I layered two die cuts of the Leafy Branch, and attached it to the card front.

Inside, I brushed more color, and used a small portion of the die cut stencil to add more branches.

That's it.  A quick and easy card, and so much fun to make.
You can find ideas and inspiration from the other designers on the IO blog HERE

I am adding my card to these challenges:
AAA Cards - Up to 1/3 and repeated image
Allsorts Challenge - Anything goes
Seize The Birthday - Monochromatic

Nature Is The Art of God - #WWDB Challenge Card

Hi!  Just a quick stop to post a card for the #WWDB Challenge at Technique Junkies, for week 4, Day 2.

Stamps links:
Fir Forest
Art of God
Enjoy Every Moment

I white embossed the Fir Forest and the Art of God verse onto bristol smooth card.  For the northern lights background, I used sponge daubers to swipe distress inks over the entire card and embossed image.

I used a clean cloth to wipe the inks from the embossing.

I wanted a little more panache, so I painted some Shimmering Bliss (available at Technique Junkies) in colors to match the distress inks, right over them.  This really shimmers and glows in real life!  So pretty.  I cleaned off the embossing again, then layered the card.

Inside:  I stamped the Fir Forest and Enjoy Every Moment verse.

I am adding my card to these challenges:
CAS Watercolor - Night sky
The Craft Stamper  - Anything goes
Time Out Challenges - The arts

Thanks for stopping by.  I hope you will join us in the challenge.  You can find info HERE.

Here's my discount code, TJ10Lynda, for you to enjoy 10% off your TJ orders!

Never Stop Making Wishes Card - Week 4 of #WWDB Challenge at Technique Junkies

We are heading into the final week of the #WWDB What We Do Best Challenge at Technique Junkies.  If you haven't participated, get inky and join us.  You just might win a $50 gift certificate to the TJ store!

This week the theme is pretty general.  Make a card that is uplifing and encouraging.  It can be any of the last three weeks topics.  I decided to play with my Arteza markers today....

Never Stop Making Wishes
Anything Is Possible

I created the background with #Arteza real brush markers.  I rubbed the markers onto an acrylic stamp block, spritzed it generously with water, then tapped it onto watercolor paper.  I repeated with three colors, drying between, until I had the background the way I wanted it.  I have also done this technique in the past with dye ink pads.

I inked the Never Stop Making Wishes  stamp with VersaFine Claire Nocturne ink, and stamped it onto the dried background.  I drew a narrow frame around it with a .03 Micron pen.  I use these pens for fine line work, particularly when I do Zentangle patterns.  Oh, I also drew a few of the dandelion 'wings' for more of a flurry!  Must have been a windy day.
I mounted this onto an ivory A2 card front.

Inside, I stamped the Anything Is Possible verse with the same black ink, and added more 'fuzzies.'

That is it.  An easy card, using a fun technique and just one stamp!  Well, one stamp for the front.  But I usually try to do an inside to carry the theme over.  And an envelope design.  Just makes the whole experience more fun, I think, for the recipient.

Thanks so much for visiting.  I do hope you will join us in this challenge.   You can read all about it, along with rules and prizes, on Pat's Technique Junkies blog post WWDB Challenge HERE.

Don't forget to use my code, TJ10Lynda, for your extra 10% off your entire purchase from the TJ store.

And today is the last day for the 25% off the May release stamps!

Thank you for stopping by.  I will be back tomorrow with more inspiration.

Blessings,

Enjoy The Ride Card for Technique Junkies #WWDB Challenge

Hello!  Just a quick post to show the card I made for Week 3, Day 7 of the Technique Junkies #WWDB What We Do Best Challenge.  You can find details of the challenge HERE.

Like A Roller Coaster
Currents Stencil
Anything Is Possible

I have had this Like A Roller Coaster  stamp a long time, and use it frequently.

I stamped the image and brushed distress inks on it.  I brushed ink through the Currents Stencil, then stamped several phrases from TJ onto the panel.

I cut the roller coaster panel with a circle die, and added it to the background, layered onto black card.

For the inside, I used the Anything Is Possible verse.

Blessings,

Celebrating Mom Card

Welcome to the 'Moms Rule' Challenge at Impression Obsession!  Today, it's all about mom on our blogs.

I hope you will join us and play along in this challenge to honor our moms, or friends/daughters who are moms.  You can enter HERE.   Each entry gives you a chance to win a $25 gift certificate to the IO store!

IO Stamp links:
Sweet Step C20852
Humble and Kind CL1031 (verse on front)
Celebrate The Day E20844 (inside)

I love this adorable little Sweet Step stamp image.  I stamped her onto white bristol smooth card stock, and painted her with Arteza real brush markers with a water brush.
Instead of coloring directly from the marker, I rubbed some of the color from the marker onto a ceramic tile, then picked up the color with my water brush to paint the image.  This allowed me to get the much softer look I desired.

I die cut the image panel and a green panel from circle dies, and added them to a pp panel, which, I then adhered to an A2 card front.

I stamped the 'Celebrating You' from the Humble and Kind clear stamp set, colored it with colored pencils, and added it with foam tape for extra dimension.

INSIDE, I stamped the Celebrate The Day verse.
