I have had a very busy few weeks. Hubby had eye surgery, and we were busy with lawyers to sell his mom's camp, working in my garden, yadda, yadda. You know how it goes. Before I knew it, three weeks had gone by and I hadn't posted, or even stamped all that much. But his eye is coming along nicely, camp has sold, and my garden is growing nicely. I can't resist spending time in it every day though...my favorite place to be during these lovely, warm days. There's just something about digging in the dirt, tending my plants, and just 'being.'
The card I made today is for my granddaughters, and, of course my daughter and son-in-law. They live in Buffalo, and though it's only one and a half hours away, it's far enough that we don't get there as often as we would like.
Don't you just love these cute little bunnies from Penny Black? I couldn't resist.

I stamped the image with Ranger Archival jet black ink onto Strathmore Bristol smooth paper, then water colored it using Tim Holtz distress inks rubbed onto a palette. I used pastels to sponge the background. When the water coloring was dry, I used my Polychromos colored pencils to add shading and enhance the images. I added shimmer with my Spectrum Noir clear sparkle brush.
I layered my card with patterned papers and dies, then the image, which I had cut with the stitched tag die. I stamped the 'miss you' phrase, and added a rhinestone for the tag, and that was that.
I am adding my card to these challenges:
Penny Black At Allsorts - Anything goes
The Flower Challenge - Anything goes
Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge - Their final challenge - so sad to see them go!
I hope you are enjoying your spring. I savor my early morning walks, before people are stirring. The birds are singing, and little critters running to and fro. The air isn't too hot yet. It's just so peaceful and quiet, and so very lovely. Then, coffee on the deck with my hubby, overlooking my garden, with the hummingbirds and orioles at their feeders. It doesn't get much better than this!
Thanks so much for visiting. See you back soon.
Blessings,
lynda
