For the main image on my card, I used Penny Black's stamp Poppy Gems. I stamped it onto Strathmore bristol paper, and colored the image with Polychromos colored pencils.
For the background, I used Faber-Castell soft pastels. My process is to apply the pastels with a small paint brush. I shave some of the pastel from the stick onto a palette, and rub my brush in the powder, then apply it to the image. I brushed the blue pastel along the outline of the flowers, then lightly brushed it out to blend into the white gradually. It is so easy to create a background with these pastels!
I die-cut the image panel, having some of the flower petal and leaf spill outside of the die-cut panel. I attached it to a green textured panel, then onto an A2 card front.
The sentiment is from PB's Collage of Wishes stamp set. I white embossed it onto a scrap piece of black card stock, added a strip of black and white striped pp, and attached it with foam tape for dimension.
I thought it needed just a little something, so I decided to add some spatters using a bit of blue ink spattered on from a brush.
