Impression Obsession In Love With Spring Release Hop Celebration - Day Six

Here we are, at the final day of the In Love With Spring release!  I have two sets of cards for you today.  The other two designers with projects today are Dina and Susan.  You can find links to their posts HERE.

Set One features some of the fabulous new flower dies.

Stitched Tulip DIE938-E
Mid-Size Frame DIE930-Z
Hugs DIE516A
See The Light C13785
French Text CAC CC151

I used distress inks to create papers for backgrounds for both cards.  I also created some fun paper using the 'smoosh watercolor technique' with distress inks for cutting dies.

On the first card, I used one of the background panels on a white A2 card, then cut the dies from the smoosh paper.  I used a brush applicator to apply distress ink through the 'stencil' which I made with my flower dies, then brushed distress ink along the edges and inside.

I added the die cut flowers over the ones I had 'stenciled in,' then stamped the See The Light verse in brown Ranger Archival ink.  I attached the panel to the other watercolored paneled card front.  Some spatters finish the front.
For card two, I used a blended distress ink background, then stamped the CAC French Text onto the blue die cut frame, and white card stock 'inside' the negative tulip die.  I layered all, with the addition of the hugs die.

Set two features our Bunny Bea and Bunny Bob adorable stamps....

Love DIE271-D
Half Inch Buttons DIE926-I

I just have to smile when I look at these stamps!  The are so fun to color, and I used my Polychromos colored pencils on both cards.  I masked Bunny Bea, and used distress ink with a mandala stencil for the background on the first card.  I added the Love die cut, and some die cut little hearts.

For the second card, I distressed the borders of the Bunny Bob panel, then layered it onto black, then onto a panel onto which I had stamped the very handy Mini Gingham CAC background.  All went onto a gray card base.

I added the Hello on some scrap white, with foam tape, then some buttons.  I stacked three button die cuts to give them dimension.  For the 'thread,' I used very thin sliver strips of black card stock.

Here are the cards a bit larger...

I hope you have enjoyed the In Love With Spring Release Hop Celebration at Impression Obsession.  Don't forget to leave comments here and on the other designer's blogs to be eligible for one of the $25 gift certificates.  Each designer has one to give away.  Deadline for comments is January 12th.  Winners will be announced January 14th.

Good luck, and as usual, I really appreciate your visits and comments.

Blessings,
