Good Neighbors

I'm back again with a Penny Black card this time.
I started by splashing some distress ink pink and green onto watercolor paper.  When dry, I stamped the Penny Black image, Good Neighbors 40-439, onto my created background, using my Misti with Tim Holtz antique linen distress ink.  I use this ink when I want to do no-line coloring, as it fades into the coloring, leaving no lines!

I used my Polychromos colored pencils to color the image.
I find color pencil work so relaxing and satisfying.

For the verse, I chose an oldie PB verse, Thinking of You 451C, and inked it with coffee Ranger Archival ink. I used a Die-namics stitched rectangles die for the image, then layered it up a tad, adding some twine, and pink Nuvo jewel drops.

I hope you are enjoying the design team challenge cards, and will have a chance to play with us.  You just may win some free stamps!  Just hop on over to the Penny Black Saturday Challenge blog and link in your card or cards!

Thanks so much for stopping by.  I always enjoy your wonderful comments, and appreciate you taking the time to visit.
