Today I'm taking a break from fall cards to bring you the pine cone. And not just any pine cone, but a fabulous layered pine cone stamp set!
STAMPS: Impression-Obsession LAYERED PINECONE
Impression-Obsession die DIE152-N
Impression-Obsession BLESSINGS
Impression-Obsession artist, Dina Kowal, has designed this five layer pine cone stamp set, with three verses. This is a game changer for me. These images layer over each other so perfectly, yet are great when they stand alone.
To create my card, I stamped five pine cones onto watercolor paper. I stamped some using all five pieces of the set, some using only three, or two, or even one. I used distress inks in shades of browns.
On textured green card stock, I layered a die cut of IO's DIE152-N onto a panel of the same card stock. Then I layered that with brown and a white card base. I fussy-cut the LAYERED PINECONE images I had stamped previously, using foam tape for some to add dimension.
I stamped the verse onto a watercolor paper scrap and distressed it with some green distress ink, and added it to the card with foam tape. There is this same verse in the stamp set, but I chose the larger individual stamp verse for my card.
Some champagne colored sequins add just the right bling to the card, don't you think?
I have a little tip for you. I cut a sheet of white card stock slightly smaller than the stamp set package and stamped each image in the set onto to. This way, I can see at a glance what each piece of the pine cone looks like. It helps when choosing colors and designing your card. I store the panel in the package with the stamp set.
I am adding my card to these challenges:
