I have two elegant tags and two cards with the same die to share with you today.
TAGS:
For the first (Merry) tag, I used:
I cut the tag from shimmer ivory card stock. I added the snowflake die cut, which I had cut from white glitter card stock.
I cut the Merry die cut from gold glitter card stock, and added it to a strip of vellum, and attached it. I tied gold and white iridescent cord through the die hole.
For the second tag I used:
I cut the Tag With Tags die from gold card stock, and ran it through an embossing folder from my stash. I used my craft knife to lift the little row of scallops along the edge, then attached it to another die cut of the same die that I cut in red. This way my tag has a back so it looks clean and finished on the other side.
I cut the Joy die from red, and adhered it to the tag. I punched a red heart, and added a small snowflake die, which I had cut from gold glitter card stock. A red rhinestone in the center finish the front.
I pulled a red satin ribbon through, and tied a gold cord and gold snowflake charm from my stash around the ribbon, with a tiny bow.
These tags are fun to make, and they also can be used as ornaments on the tree! Don't you love getting more uses than one from your projects?
CARD ONE: Silver Peace Poinsettia
IO Dies links:
I cut the Poinsettia Frame die from light gray card stock. I removed the petals, and colored them with Aged Mahogany distress ink, using a brush blender. I placed the petals back into the light gray frame, and attached that to a darker gray panel.
I added some gray plaid pp to an A2 card front, and adhered my poinsettia panel with foam tape. I cut the 'peace' die from the Typewriter Sentiments dies from silver shimmer paper, and added it to the card front. Some silver foil pearls from Studio Katia, and some silver Stickles finish the card.
CARD TWO: Gold Peace Embossed Poinsettia
IO Dies Links:
I ran the Poinsettia Frame die through my die cut machine with a foam mat under it to 'emboss' the poinsettia image without cutting it out. I wrapped gold cording around and tied a bow, then attached this to a green panel slightly larger.
I added some coordinating card stock panels to a light green A2 card front, and added a die cut Peace die in gold under the poinsettia.
And that's a wrap for today, folks. I do hope you are inspired by all of our projects.
Links to the other designer's posts are below. Be sure to check them out. Susan Wymer is after me, so she would be next in the hop order.
