For my card, I used linen texture card stock. I picked up a box of this in Walmart a year or so ago. It was inexpensive, and the texture is lovely. I also purchased a box of the cream linen. It is a pretty light weight stock, so I usually mount my panel to a 110# card base.
Using my Misty, I stamped and embossed the flower onto Bristol card stock. I always use the Misty when stamping on textured paper, so that I can ink two or three times for optimum coverage.
I water colored the flowers with the Tombow markers and a watercolor brush, then fussy-cut them.
On the linen card, I used my Clarity Brush to add a soft strip of abandoned coral distress ink about a third of the way up, fading out for a soft, blended look. I used a scrap of white to cut the scroll die (I really love this die, and use it often). I adhered the die over the stronger colored area, the added the flowers, using foam tape to give them dimension and interest. The verse is stamped with Memento rich cocoa ink, again on the Misty.
I thought it could use just a little something, but I didn't want sequins, so I got creative and made my own embellishments. I added intermittent large and small dots with my light prawn Copic marker, then topped them with a drop of Glossy Accents. They look like little plastic dot gems.

I have finally organized my Zentangle supplies (pens, papers, yadda, yadda) into a great little bag I found, which houses them perfectly and compactly. Now it travels with me almost everywhere I go, so I always have something to do while waiting at doctors offices, etc. I haven't done a tangle in a while, and it is calling to me. This afternoon, after a cuppa with the hubby, I'm going to play with Zentangle. Stay tuned for a post soon.
