Hope In The Lord Challenge Card

I needed a card to send to a friend who is going through some dark times, and could use some encouragement.  I just wanted her to know I am thinking of her, and to give her hope.
Stamps are all Penny Black.  The phrase is from their 30-429 Gift From Above set.  I also used a phrase from that set on the inside of the card.  The flowers/vase is from their Perfect Pairing set #30-346.

I added the striped patterned paper to a top-folding A-2 black card.  I stamped the flowers/vase onto bristol smooth paper, and used my Derwent Inktense pencils to watercolor them, then fussy-cut them and adhered them to the card front with foam tape for dimension.  I stamped the sentiment onto vellum and added that, and watercolored a strip of the same bristol with the colors I used on the flower, and added that.  I brushed some glittery shimmer on the flowers with my Spectrum Noir clear sparkle pen.

Some assorted moonshine sequins from Simon Says Stamp finished off the card.
Inside of card - Pic taken before glue dried.

I added my card to these challenges:

Penny Black Saturday Challenge  - Flowers

House of Cards challenge - Stripes and/or colors

Thank you for stopping by.

Blessings,

lynda

Everything Beautiful Card

I had a small piece of watercolor paper left from another project, and while I had my distress inks out I created this watercolor background.  You can find a tutorial HERE for this technique on the Papertrey Ink blog in a video tutorial by Nichole Heady.

The stamp is from Our Daily Bread Designs.  I used a Cuttlebug embossing folder, and Cherry Lynn butterfly die, and Spellbinders Swirl die.

I have entered it in the following challenges:
Our Daily Bread Designs Easter/Spring Religious Inspiration challenge HERE
and
The Daily Marker 30 Day Color Challenge HERE .

He has, indeed, made everything beautiful.  Let us rejoice and be glad!
Blessings,
