Die Cut Obsession At Impression Obsession - Thanks A Latte

IO Dies/Stamps Links:

Today we are showcasing dies in our blogs.  For my card today, I used some of the new 2020 Fall/Winter Release dies and stamp set.  You can find the full release stamps and dies HERE.

I added some red card stock, and snowflake pattern paper to a Kraft card front.  I cut the Snowflake Frame  from white glitter paper, and added it, then embossed the verse and cut it with a circle die and added it to the snowflake center.

I cut the Coffee To Go from various card stocks and pp, and assembled, then added it with foam tape for added dimension.

Inside, I layered pp and card stock, stamped the verse from the Thank You Clear Set, and added a piece of the Snowflake Frame  die cut.
INSIDE

I am a coffee lover, so just had to have this die!  I'm sure I will use it often.  And that snowflake!  I think I will make some ornaments by adhering two die cuts with wrong sided together, with a string or cord between them.  Then the inside can be a verse, word, or even a small picture!  And it would also be a lovely tag!

Anyways, that's my card for today.  I hope you are inspired by our new collection.  You can see the other participants' projects HERE.

Thanks so much for visiting.  I do enjoy your comments.

Coffee Cat

This cat!  All of us coffee-lovers can relate to this critter, I'm sure.  The eyes are what cracks me up....
I was unable to capture the shimmer and glitz in my photo.  The hat, mug, and newspaper are painted with Shimmering Bliss.

Full directions on the Technique Junkies stamps I used, other supplies, and card details and techniques are on the
Technique Junkies blog HERE.

If you would like 10% off these stamps, and any stamps or products in the Technique Junkies store, just use my code, TJ10Lynda, and your 10% discount will be applied when you check out.

Life Begins After Coffee

It's a dreary, rainy, soggy day today.  Definitely a coffee-drinking day for me!  I'm on my third cup, and have yet to get up to my craft room.  I am enjoying the peaceful quiet, as hubby is out and about.  I love rainy mornings, actually.  The forecast for next week is sunshine and warmer, MUCH warmer, temperatures!  Hooray.  I'll take some rain if that is what follows!

So, since I have yet to enter the creative realm of my 'studio,' I am sharing a card that first made it's debut for the October, 2017 Dirty Dozen Design Team central theme cards.  It was my first month on the DD team at Splitcoaststampers, and we had to make six cards each month to fit the theme.  These cards were available only for SCS fan club members to view.  I could not publish them elsewhere for six months.  So, it's April, and now I will share some of these cards with you as they meet the six month rule.  First up.....
The theme was Creepy/Crawly.  I made this coffee themed card to represent how I creep ever-so-slowly out of bed and crawl to the coffee pot.  A stretch on the theme, for sure, but then, you haven't seen me 'bc' - before coffee!  NOT a pretty sight.

I began by sponging the A2 white card front with distress oxide inks abandoned coral and worn lipstick, then spattering with water droplets.  One of my very favorite techniques!  I stamped the verse (Verve coffee set) with black, then added the coffee die, which I had distressed with vintage photo ink and layered onto a piece of fun foam for dimension.

I die-cut the curved border (Spellbinders), stamped the coffee steam, and sponged with vintage photo ink, then layered atop my background with foam tape.

For the cup, I water colored the Verve mug and fussy-cut, adding it to the curved panel with foam tape.  Glossy Accents add some shine and texture, and some flowers from my stash, pearls, and some clear sequins.

Inside.....
Thanks so much for stopping by today.  I cannot add this card to any challenges, as it had been previously published.  I will return later with, hopefully, some fresh inspiration from my 'she-den', aka 'studio,' 'craft room,' and my hubbie's favorite 'your hole!'

Inspirational Card For A Coffee Lover

It's Sunday already, and Mojo Monday is just around the corner, so here is my card for the challenge......
 For my card I used:
Stamps:  Verve Coffee set vs-0219, Verve free digis Here Comes The Sun
Other:  Distress inks and markers
            Vellum
Spectrum Noir crystal clear sparkle pen
             India ink black
             Micron .01 pen
             Martha Stewart scoring tool
             Clarity stencil brush

I started with pink card stock for a top-fold A2 card.  I stamped coffee beans from the Verve coffee set with spun sugar distress inks randomly onto the card front.  Then I added score lines along the left side with my scoring tool, and brushed the same ink onto the card front with my Clarity stencil brush to highlight the raised score lines.  A strip of black and white striped paper along the left side to balance the composition was added.

I placed a piece of vellum over the verse of the digi sheet, and with a pink distress marker then my Micron pen, I traced the verse onto the vellum.  When dry, I backed it with a small white scrap of card stock, and attached it to my card front.

I stamped, colored, and fussy-cut two coffee cups from the digi set, and added them with foam tape.  Some sparkle from the Spectrum Noir sparkle pen completes the card.

I am adding my card to these challenges:

Allsorts Challenge  - Something beginning with "B" (beans (coffee)

Simply Less Is More Challenge - Stripe

Verve Diva Challenge - Use digi stamps

Mojo Monday Challenge - Sketch

Thanks for stopping by.  Now it's off to my garden to play in the sunshine for a bit.

Blessings,

lynda
