Thinking of You Card Featuring Lilacs With Real Brush Markers

Hello, and welcome to my blog.  I am stopping in to post a card that's on the Technique Junkies blog today.
I used Technique Junkies stamps:
Lilacs JT017
Difficult Time Set of 2  SDX156
With Sympathy Set of 5

I used Arteza Real Brush Markers  and a water brush to watercolor this lovely Lilacs image and the background.

I love these markers for their intensity and ease of use.  They blend effortlessly, and really hold their color well.

I white embossed the verse from the Difficult Time set and added it, then layered it all onto an A2 card.

I stamped the sympathy verse inside from the With Sympathy Set of 5, and bits of the lilac with distress ink.

Thanks for stopping by.  Be sure to check out the details of the Technique Junkies Summer 2020 Challenge at the TJ Facebook page HERE.  You have until tomorrow, June 29th, to enter for some fabulous prizes!

Thanks for visiting my blog today.  Don't forget to use my code, TJ10Lynda, if you are shopping at the TJ store, for 10% off your purchase!

Purple Poppies Card With Penny Black Stamps

Today's card is for my sister-in-law, who is recuperating from surgery.  I hope she likes it and it brings her some cheer....
I know poppies are not purple, but I really wanted to use it on these flowers today.  I guess you could say I used artistic license.
Stamps:  Penny Black Poppies 3949H and Thinking of You from Penny Black Gratitude clear set 30-105.
Other:  Spellbinder's die for purple embossed frame; Lawn Fawn stitched squares dies; amethyst gems from my stash, Spectrum Noir crystal clear sparkle pen; fun foam; Copic markers.

I stamped the poppies onto white card stock and colored them with my Copic markers.  I used the stitched square die, then brushed distress ink (dusty concord) along the outside edges.  I then framed it with the purple die cut/embossed frame, then layered it onto black.  I used fun foam to attach it to my card base, to give it dimension.

A strip of decorative paper and some of the same card stock as the frame along the left edge give it some interest.  I gave the flowers some sparkle with my Spectrum Noir crystal clear sparkle pen.  I stamped the verse, and added some gems to finish off the card front.

Here's a peek at the inside....
Simon Says Stamp Prayers stamp set and die.  I don't know who the sprig is...it was in my stash unmounted.

I am adding my card to these challenges:

Penny Black At Allsorts Challenge - All things spring

Penny Black Saturday Challenge - Spring or Easter

Simon Says Wednesday Challenge - Showers and/or flowers

I made several cards today.  Some for our church card ministry to send to parishioners in hospitals or shut-ins, and a few for relatives and friends....just because.   I was on a roll!  This was my last one for the day.

Thank you for visiting.

Blessings,

Lynda

Day 7 Color Challenge

Today's card is for the The Daily Marker color challenge, Day 7; the Allsorts Challenge  (clean and simple), and Penny Black at Allsorts Challenge (anything goes with a stamp and a die/s).
It seems I'm really into the ColorBox direct to paper backgrounds lately.  I keep going back to them!  I created this inked background, and when I was looking through my Penny Black images, I knew this (2392K) would be the one I would use as soon as I saw it.  I stamped it three times across the inked panel to create a background.

The die is PB creative die 51-008 Bashful, and the verse from PB clear set 30-014 Salutations.

We have been in Buffalo with the grands for three days, so now I need to get going to catch up with one day I missed.

Hope you are all finding joy in creating.

Blessings,
lynda
