Impression Obsession Birthday Card And SALE!

Hi!  Just stopping in with a quick post today.  Today is the last day to get a great discount on the birthday category featured stamps at Impression Obsession.  You can read about this sale on the IO blog HERE.
I made this quick card using a couple of the stamps that are included in this sale.
I also used a die.  Loopy Border DIE979-G
I used the
Loopy Border DIE  for the white panel.  I stamped the images onto the die cut panel,  and
colored them with Arteza Everblend markers.  Some layering and  sequin embellishments finish the front of the card.

Inside, I created a rectangular block by cutting a rectangle from the inside of a piece of paper, the
INSIDE
n used my iBrush ink applicators to apply distress ink.  Then I stamped the verse from the set inside.

That's it....easy-peasy.  And the stamps are 25% off through the end of today at Impression Obsession.

Check out these and the other stamps in this sale category HERE.

Thanks for visiting today.

My card....

IO Stamps/Stencil Links:
Layered Mandala Stencil 019168 (A Colorful Life Designs)

I placed the A Colorful Life Designs Layered Mandala stencil onto a white A2 card front, and used my iBrush ink applicators to apply yellow and pink distress ink lightly.
I placed Floral Burst image into my Misti, and used Arteza Real Brush markers to 'ink' up the petals.  I repeated with various shades of yellow and pink, then the green stem.
The verse from the Large Pocket Set , along with the bow from the same set, and some black spatters finish the front of the card.

Inside, I used the second part of the stencil.

I hope you will join us in our Summer Flowers challenge.  Thanks for visiting.

Summer Leaves Card from Fall Stamp

Happy Tuesday!  My card today uses one of the new fall/winter release stamps.  I am not ready for either fall or winter just yet, so I decided to use this fabulous leaf stamp with summer coloring instead.  Don't get me wrong, fall is my absolute favorite season, and this image will get plenty of fall ink action, a bit later.  For now, I'm enjoying my summer garden, in full bloom and lush!

I know I am not alone when I get anxious and stressed with the way things are going in the world.  Our lives are turned upside-down.  Normal seems a fond memory.  I miss my family and friends.  And hugs, and shared meals, and, well, you know, of course.  So, I decided I will NOT wallow in what I do not have, rather, enjoy what I do have, Now!
I will begin by being more gentle with myself, as this stamps says.  I realize I have been putting pressure on myself to act a certain way, to do more, to be more, to hide my fears.  This phrase reminds me that it's ok to have these feelings now and then.  It's normal.  These negative feelings are like persistent children.  They persevere until you acknowledge them, then they move on.  So, I will acknowledge my anxiety, stress and fears.  I will allow them, feel them and deal with them, then I will send them on their way.  And I will be gentle with myself.  I hope you will be gentle with yourself, also.

Now, finally, onto my card for today....
IO stamp links:

I stamped the Fall Foliage image a few times with VersaFine Clair Nocturne ink onto a Bristol vellum panel.  I used Arteza Everblend alcohol markers to 'paint' the leaves.  I love these alcohol markers.  I use them with my Copics, to help round out my color palette.  I love the way these blend, and they also play well with the Copics.

I added some shading with a very light gray Everblend marker.  The Be Gentle verse is offset with a scrap of striped pp, and some black pearl accents added for embellishment.                                I kept the inside simple with the images stamped lightly, leaving room for a personal note.
Inside
I love to make and send these types of cards, especially now.  There are so many people who can use a little encouragement, don't you think?

Thanks so much for visiting my blog.  I appreciate your comments.

Holly Bird Holiday Card

Today I made this card for the Technique Junkies Christmas Challenge.  The challenge is open through July 27th, and you can find full details on Pat's post HERE!

For my card, I used these stamps:

I stamped the Holly Bird image onto mixed media paper, and colored her with Polychromos colored pencils.  I used several layers to get the depth of color.
I added some bits of one of the pine branches from the Season's Greetings set here and there around the holly.  I inked the French Text background stamp with Antique Linen distress ink, and stamped it in the background around the image.

I used iBrush ink applicators to add some green around the holly and blue in the background, then distressed the outer edges.

For the inside, I chose a verse from the Gifts of Christmas set.
I hope you have been inspired by this challenge, and that you will play along with us.  You just might win a fabulous prize.  Check out the details HERE.

Thanks for visiting.

Die Cut Obsession At Impression Obsession - Thanks A Latte

IO Dies/Stamps Links:

Today we are showcasing dies in our blogs.  For my card today, I used some of the new 2020 Fall/Winter Release dies and stamp set.  You can find the full release stamps and dies HERE.

I added some red card stock, and snowflake pattern paper to a Kraft card front.  I cut the Snowflake Frame  from white glitter paper, and added it, then embossed the verse and cut it with a circle die and added it to the snowflake center.

I cut the Coffee To Go from various card stocks and pp, and assembled, then added it with foam tape for added dimension.

Inside, I layered pp and card stock, stamped the verse from the Thank You Clear Set, and added a piece of the Snowflake Frame  die cut.
INSIDE

I am a coffee lover, so just had to have this die!  I'm sure I will use it often.  And that snowflake!  I think I will make some ornaments by adhering two die cuts with wrong sided together, with a string or cord between them.  Then the inside can be a verse, word, or even a small picture!  And it would also be a lovely tag!

Anyways, that's my card for today.  I hope you are inspired by our new collection.  You can see the other participants' projects HERE.

Thanks so much for visiting.  I do enjoy your comments.

Impression Obsession Fall/Winter 2020 Release Celebration

Welcome to Day 3, and final day, of the 2020 Obsession Fall/Winter Release Celebration.  You can find details on the IO blog post HERE, and the entire line up of new stamps can be found HERE.

I have three cards to share with you today.

CARD 1:

The plaid border was stamped with the Gingham Cover-A-Card with VersaFine Clair Nocturne ink.  Leaves were stamped onto the card front, and more were fussy-cut and added.  Verse stamped onto circle die cut from my stash.  All layered. Inside stamped and yellow arc created with yellow distress ink sponged through the negative part of circle die.
Inside

CARD 2:
Snowman L20868

Image was colored with Arteza Everblend alcohol markers.  I brushed the background with blue distress ink using my Ibrush ink applicators.  I love these brush daubers that are the size of sponge daubers, only with thick, soft brush tips.  They make blending seamless and so easy!

The verse is from the Holiday Tree clear set.

CARD 3:
Small Gingerbread DIE1030-J
Candy Cane Wishes WP1052 (verse & inside)

Gingerbread man was die cut from Kraft card stock.  Music background stamped on him and background of card, and inside.  I used Ibrush ink applicators to add distressing with distress ink on gingerbread man and circle die, and edge of card front.
Layered with verse and snowflake die cuts.  Lace border from stash.

Inside stamped with music and fussy-cut gingerbread man I 'colored' with distress ink and Ibrush ink applicators , and some black and red markers, and white gel pen.
Inside
I hope you have enjoyed all the wonderful inspiration from our design team for this amazing release!  It is a lovely collection of stamps, perfect for those holiday cards.  And many of them can be used year-round!  You can find the new stamps HERE!

CARD 2:
Winter Branch WP1057
