For today's card, I chose my favorite from this release.  This large Lotus Spray stamp is so gorgeous!  It's perfect for a larger card, and will fit on a slimline card, as well.

IO Stamps Links:

How I made my card:
  • On a bristol card stock panel, I stamped the Lotus Spray with VersaFine Clair Nocturne ink.
  • I painted the flowers using Gansai Tambi watercolor paints.
  • I stamped the In Quietness verse with the same black ink.  I love this verse from Isaiah, and the font is perfect for the style of this stamp.
  • For the background, I used my color applicator brushes to brush on some distress ink.  I used some blue distress ink for spatters.

  • INSIDE:  I created a background like the one on the front, stamped the See The Light verse and Lotus Flower 2, and colored with Polychromos colored pencils.

Brighter Days Ahead - Impression Obsession March Release

Hello, friends!  Today I have a card using this amazing verse from the March Impression Obsession release, along with one of the pretty sunflower images.  I thought we could all use a little cheer and some
encouragement right now.

IO stamps links:

Here's how I made my card:
  • On a kraft A2 card front, I stamped the Brighter Days verse.  The stamp is a cling stamp, and when I put it on the block for stamping, I coaxed it into an arch shape before I stuck it down on the block.  I stamped it sideways onto the card front.
  • I added a strip of light blue card stock along the edge.
  • I stamped the Small Sunflower onto bristol card stock with light distress ink for no-line coloring, and painted it with Kuretake Gansai Tambi watercolor. I stamped some leaves from the Hummingbird & Blooms set to add to the flower.
  • Some black pearl dots finish the card.
I hope you are enjoying the inspiration from the IO March Release stamps.  You can see them all HERE.  We will be featuring more of them throughout this month.

Thanks so much for stopping by today.  Prayers for brighter days ahead for all of us!

Impression Obsession Die Cut Obsession With March Release Dies

Hello friends,  Today we are using our Impression Obsession dies on our cards.  I am also using a couple of the new dies from the March Release.
I already know that I will be using these dies a lot.  That tag!  And the whiskey barrel is so fun!  Just think of all the fun ideas for filling it for different occasions and celebrations!

IO Stamps/Dies Links:

This is how I made my card:
  •  On a white A2 card front I covered it with patterned papers and some silk ribbon.
  • I stamped the Kitty With Heart stamp onto card stock, colored it with Polychromos colored pencils, then fussy-cut it and set it aside.
  • On bristol card stock, I die cut the flower from the Flowers & Leaves die set.  I used distress inks with my brush applicators to 'paint' the flower and leaves, then set them aside.
  • From kraft card stock, I cut the Whiskey Barrel Planter, and used brush ink applicators to add ink for shading.
  • From kraft card stock, I cut the Stitched Die Tag.  I added the Barrel, flower, and kitty to the tag, ran some silk ribbon through the hole, and a button with a string bow, and attached it to the card front with foam tape.
  • On kraft card stock, I stamped the Sending Cheer verse onto the panel cut from the Stitched Die Tag set.  I attached this to the card front, under the tag.
I had lots of fun creating this card with the cute little kitty and fabulous IO dies.  I hope you get a chance to play with some of your dies and/or stamps this week.

Thanks for stopping by today.

Flowers In A Cone With Colored Pencils

Hello friends!  Today I have another card, and a new frame, from the March Impression Obsession Release.
I love the folksy feel of this frame, and some distress ink
just gives it that vintage feel, don't you think?

IO Stamps/Die Links

How I made my card:
  •  I cut the Folk Art Frame die, colored the die cut, and used vintage photo distress ink to distress the pieces.
  • I stamped the Flowers Cone and the Pay Attention verse onto the inside piece.
  • I colored the image with Polychromos colored pencils.
  • I added the pieces to a purple A2 card front.
  • To finish, I cut the frame die again on dark purple card stock, and used the heart flowers pieces to add to the frame.
I hope you like my vintage card today.

Thanks for stopping by.
