Wildflower Watercolor Card

Whew....it's another hot one today.  I spent most of my day at a friend's house, playing with some of her new stamps.  She had air conditioning.  'nuff said!
Back home in my sauna craftroom, I finished a card I had started a while back.  I used cracked pistachio to watercolor some color loosly on the watercolor panel for a background.  Next, I used the Tim Holtz wildflower stencil THS035 to sponge distress inks in peacock feathers, salty ocean, cracked pistachio, mermaid lagoon, hickory smoke, and black soot over the background when it was dry.

I added some intermittent script with the Hero Arts H2385 script stamp, and also sponged some ink through a screen for added textural effect.

I used a white card base, layered with gray card stock, and a panel of card stock to match the inks along the left side.  I stamped some of the text die on that panel as well.  I die cut the stamped panel with a Spellbinders die, layered it onto craft foam for dimension, and added it to the card.  Next I die cut the 'thanks' die (Lawn Fawn) and added it to the card.

I am adding my card to the The Daily Marker - Day 3 color challenge.

Thank you for visiting.  See you tomorrow!

Blessings,

lynda
