I was in the mood for 'cute' today, and decided to play with these adorable frogs from Whimsy Stamps. I have a 'thing' for frogs, and these two are just so dang adorable!
The challenge at Whimsy Stamps Inspiration Challenge is Anything Goes. So, frogs it is....
I stamped Whimsy Stamps 'Froggie Friends' onto Strathmore bristol smooth paper, and watercolored them with Arteza real brush pens.
I layered the panel, using the Lawn Fawn Scripty Smile die, and Die-namics scalloped border from Blueprints 6 die set. Some yellow Enamel Accents finish off my card.
I am also adding my card to these other challenges:
Time Out Challenges - Inspired by words
Addicted To Stamps - Anything goes
I'm so happy you stopped by today. Thank you for visiting, and for your lovely comments.
If you like, you can read about why I have a 'thing' for frogs in my article on Hub Pages HERE.
Blessings,
Today I'm posting another card from my DT stint on Splitcoaststampers. We could not publish our cards for the Dirty Dozen Design Team outside of the SCS Fan Club until six months after they were posted there. So...here's another of my October, 2017 cards....

| Card INSIDE |
A get-well card for someone who has caught a 'bug.' I started with cream card
stock for the main card base. I added the leaf vine die (don't know who it is...had
it in my stash). I stamped and water colored the pieces of the Altenew Get Well Soon set, with
distress inks, fussy-cut them, and adhered them with foam tape.
Stamped the phrases (same set) with India Ink Black, and distress ink. Some Glossy
Accents give the jar dimension and texture, and make it look like glass in real life. I stamped elements
from the set inside the card, as well.
The Dirty Dozen challenge at the time this was initally posted on SCS was 'creepy crawlies.' I thought of the 'bug' in 'caught a bug.' A little stretch, but it fit the theme.
I won't be posting these on any challenges, as they had technically been posted previously, although for a very limited viewing audience.
Now...on a personal note...our two new granddogs, Lexi and Luna....
I just have to share - Our daughter and family adopted these two little....teeny-tiny rescue dogs on Sunday. They are little Yorkies. They had been abused, and were going to be put down, so she took them in. Dempsey, grand dog number one, the king and ruler of the house prior to their coming, has accepted them and 'tolerates' them. But he is a good big brother.
Needless to say, this Nana is head over heels for these little girls.
Thanks so much for visiting. I appreciate you stopping by and sharing your comments.
Blessings,
I'm back again with a Penny Black card this time.
I started by splashing some distress ink pink and green onto watercolor paper. When dry, I stamped the Penny Black image, Good Neighbors 40-439, onto my created background, using my Misti with Tim Holtz antique linen distress ink. I use this ink when I want to do no-line coloring, as it fades into the coloring, leaving no lines!
I used my Polychromos colored pencils to color the image.
I find color pencil work so relaxing and satisfying.

For the verse, I chose an oldie PB verse, Thinking of You 451C, and inked it with coffee Ranger Archival ink. I used a Die-namics stitched rectangles die for the image, then layered it up a tad, adding some twine, and pink Nuvo jewel drops.
I hope you are enjoying the design team challenge cards, and will have a chance to play with us. You just may win some free stamps! Just hop on over to the Penny Black Saturday Challenge blog and link in your card or cards!

Now, pour yourself a cuppa, sit back, relax and enjoy the hop! I have two three cards to share today, with more to come soon.
First....
This card features the fabulous Side Hat and elegant Sketched Flowers new release stamps. I also used Classy & Fabulous (verse - non-release).
For the background, I stamped the Sketched Flowers with TH distress ink. I stamped off on scrap paper to get a second generation lighter background.
I embossed Side Hat in black and red, then fussy-cut it and used craft foam to adhere and raise it over the background. Some fancy ribbon and a feather and gemstone embellish the hat. All is layered onto red card stock, then onto a white card. I added the sentiment, and another gemstone.
OK...I couldn't resist just one more, cuz I just adore these little owls!.....
I used an owl from the You're A Hoot (set of 7) , and a stencil from the A Colorful Life Designs line. I sponged spun sugar distress ink through the stencil to create the background. I watercolored the owl with my Arteza real brush markers, fussy-cut her, and gave her a feather to stand on. That's it...easy-peasy.
From here, hop on over to Pat Huntoon's blog for more inspiration and ideas with her release projects.
And remember, to get 10% off non-release stamps to use with the new release stamps, which are 15% off until May 8th, just use my code TJ10Lynda.
