Best Friends Impression Obsession Challenge

Welcome to the Impression Obsession Best Friends challenge.   I hope you will join us for this fun challenge.  Just make a card or cards, and enter them HERE.  Each card you enter gets you a chance to win a $25 gift certificate to the IO store!

I made a card and an envelope today, because nothing is too good for my best ever friend!!

Typewriter Sentiments DIE905-Y
World Needs D17288
Happy Mail Frame F12138
Happy Mail Floral D12139

When I saw this image, I just had to have it.  I stamped the Best Pals image onto some teal card stock, and colored it with my Polychromos colored pencils.  I decided to stay with just the teals and white, with a little gray for shading.

I drew the 'stars' with a white gel pen, layered the panel, and added it to a larger 5 x 7 craft card base.

I added the Friend word, and the 'hugs' from the Typewriter Sentiments die set.  I added the World Needs verse inside.

For the envelope, I used the Happy Mail Frame.  For the back flap, I used the Happy Mail Floral.  I colored both with the same Polychromos pencils as I used for the front of the card.

I hope to see you at the IO Challenge blog with your card.  Be sure to check out the other Design Team cards listed in the IO post HERE.

I am adding my card to these challenges:

Rose Background Anniversary Card With Pitt Pastels

Hello friends!  Today I have an elegant anniversary card to share, using one of the new stamps from Technique Junkies' March release!
AND, you may use my discount code, TJ10Lynda, so you can take an additional 10% off the already 15% off price through March 8th.  That's a total of 25% off!!

Here's my card.....

INSIDE**INSIDE

I used Technique Junkies' stamps:  Old Fashioned Roses, and Happy Anniversary from the set Anniversary Set of 7.

I stamped the Old Fashioned Roses background stamp onto watercolor paper, using Ranger Archival ink in potting soil.  I like this color instead of brown sometimes, when I want a softer look.  The black would have been a little too harsh for the look I wanted in this card.

I colored the roses and leaves with Faber Castell Pitt Pastel Pencils.  I love the soft, velvety look these pastels give.  And they're super easy to blend. I use a combination of blending stumps and small pom-poms with an alligator clip to apply and blend the pastels.

For the verse panel, I embossed the Happy Anniversary stamp onto a piece of the kraft card stock, trimmed closely, and added it to the rose panel.  A bit of pink ribbon and bow were added, then attached to a kraft A2 card front.

Inside, I stamped a portion of the roses background, and hand drew a rectangular area for writing a note.

I hope you are enjoying the TJ release this month.  Don't forget to add my discount to the already 15% off new stamps through March 8th!

I have three cards for inspiration today.

I am starting with the Poppy Teapot.  This is an elegant image, and I embossed it with gold, and watercolored it with Arteza real brush markers.   I added the verse from the With Sympathy Set of 5.  Some layering, and a pretty ribbon finish off the card.

Next up is the gorgeous background stamp in this release, Bandana Background.

I love this background stamp. I inked it with distress ink, and stamped it onto white card stock.  I white embossed the Friends are flowers verse from the In Full Bloom Sentiments set.  I added this panel to the background, tied a ribbon around with a bow, and added a pearl.

And for my final card, I chose the fun Fairy Garden Set of 10.  There is so much to see in this set!

I used distress ink and my applicator brushes to create a colorful background.  I stamped the main image from the set twice, and colored them with Arteza Everblend (alcohol) markers.  I love these markers, and the fine tips!  They blend beautifully, and are so easy to work with.

I added the Live Magically verse to finish the front.

I hope you like my cards.

Just Rosy With Impression Obsession and Arteza

Wintery greetings and a happy Friday!  I decided to go with lots of luscious color for my card today, on a blustery, cold day here.

On a white A2 card front, I stamped the Textured Chevron with Abandoned Coral distress ink, using my Misti so that I could get a good, crisp image.

I stamped the Just Rosy image onto a white card stock panel, and used Arteza real brush pens and a water brush to paint the image.  I masked off the colored image, and stamped some background leaves, using the foliage from the Pretty Pitcher set.

I added a tag from the Small Tags die set with foam tape for dimension.  Some simple stamping, and the All Things Rosy  verse finish the inside.

I am adding my card to the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge, where the theme is Anything Goes.

That's it for today.  I wish you all a fabulous weekend!  Be sure to take time to do something you love!

Blessings,

Hey Chickie Card With Dies And Patterned Paper

Hello, friends.  I have something a little different today for my Impression Obsession die card.  The adorable animal dies (chick, bunny, and lamb) are fun to use, and just so dang cute!  I chose the chick for today.

INSIDE**INSIDE
 IO dies/stamps links:

For my card, I cut the Chick Frame die from white card stock and from the pink pp.  I used daubers and distress ink to 'color' the chick, and added the eyes and beak.
I stamped the 'Hey Chickie...' verse from an older IO set, and added the panel to the card, along with a pp plaid panel behind it.

I cut the Small Tags die from a white cs scrap, and stamped the sentiment from the Life Stuff Sentiments set onto the tag, then added it to the card front with some twine.

That's it!  Fun, easy card for a blustery day.  Thanks so much for stopping by.  See you tomorrow for my final card in this series.

More Mushrooms! Cutting Dies From Watercolored Paper

Hello again!  I'm back today with more 'shrooms from the spring Impression Obsession die release dies.

Inside
DIE944-C Mushrooms

 DIE174-W Greeting Set

For the mushrooms, I created a smooshed watercolor paper, using distress inks and water.  When it was dry, I used the mushroom dies to cut the mushrooms.

I created a background with a stencil from my stash.  I placed the die cut mushrooms inside a circle die cut, then onto the stencil background, then onto an A2 card.

Inside, I created a stenciled background, and added some of the mushrooms.

I hope you enjoyed this card, and the one I made yesterday.  Tomorrow, I'm moving on from the mushrooms, and using some of my other spring release dies.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  I appreciate your comments and visits.

Blessings,

Fungus Amongus! New Mushroom Die Set From Impression Obsession!

Oh, I'm smitten with these mushroom dies from Impression Obsession!  They're so stinkin' adorable.  I'm putting them on everything!  Somebody stop me!  Funny thing is, I don't like real mushrooms.  Never liked the taste or texture.  But these guys, well, they just make me smile!

Stamps/Dies Links:
DIE944-C Mushrooms
DIE826-Z Grass Borders
DIE038-J Grass
B17265 What You See

I had so much fun creating this card!  I used some patterned paper that I had in my stash to make an A2 card.

I added the Grass Borders die cuts in layers along the bottom of the card front.

I used distress inks to colorize some watercolor paper with browns, using the smoosh technique.  When it was dry, I die cut several Mushrooms from the piece I had created.  I added these die cuts to the card in the grassy area.  I also added a tuft of the taller Grass die.

I added some 'shrooms' and grass to the inside to carry the theme over.

I used Ranger Archival ink to stamp the What You See verse.

I hope you like my card today.  I will be back tomorrow with more inspiration from the new dies.

Thanks so much for visiting, and for sharing your comments.

Blessings,
