Full Of Glee

Happy Saturday!   It's the third Saturday of the month, and time for more inspiration for this month's Penny Black Saturday Challenge.  The theme this month is 'Anything Goes' or 'Water and/or Watercolor.'
As you can see, I went with the 'Anything Goes' theme this time.

I stamped the Penny Black FULL OF GLEE 40-509 stamp onto bristol vellum paper with distress ink.  I watercolored the image with distress inks.  When dry, I added some details back in with colored pencils.

For the background, I stamped several Penny Black stamps with tea dye distress ink, then I used an ink applicator brush to distress the edges with the same color distress ink.
I die cut the panel with a Spellbinder's die, then attached that to dark brown card stock, and fussy-cut it, then added it to a square white card front.

I stamped the verse, from the Penny Black GIFTS FROM ABOVE 30-429 clear set, with Ranger Archival ink in sepia.  A few clear droplets from Studio Katia finish off the card.

For more inspiration from some of the other design team members, visit the Penny Black Saturday Challenge.  And while you're there, why not join us?  Enter your card, and you will be eligible to win a $20 voucher to 1,2,3 Stitch, our sponsor!

I am adding my card to these other challenges:

Thanks for stopping by today.  Enjoy your weekend!

  3. Your flowers are beautifully coloured and love the details you added with pencils. You created an amazing background too, has such a vintage look but its soft like the flowers. And the bold sentiment is perfect. So very glad you shared this with us at The Flower Challenge!
