I have four cards for your inspiration today....

Same pretty flowers, two different looks:
I inked the Echinacea stamp with antique linen distress ink. I wanted a no-line look, and this ink just fades into the coloring, leaving no lines!
I colored the image with Polychromos colored pencils.  For the background, I applied Faber-Castell soft pastel chalks with a cotton makeup remover square, and used a small paint brush as I got closer to and inside the areas of the image.  I love using pastels for backgrounds when I colored the image with pencils, as any of the pastels that get on the image wipe right off the pencil areas.
Card 2, Echinacea with lines
For the second card, I went used the same Echinacea stamp, but this time kept the lines.  I used the same Polychromos colored pencils, applying them more lightly, going for a more whimsical, light look.  A few spatters of watered-down black acrylic paint for the finishing touch.
And, here are the insides of these cards:

Card 3 - Dreaming of Wings
I stamped the Dreaming of Wings stamp with antique linen distress ink onto a piece of designer paper from my stash.  I used my Polychromos to color the image.  I had separated the verse from the image, so that I could place where I wanted.  Turns out, I stamped it where it was, using Ranger archival ink in blue.  I just like having the option of being able to stamp the image without the verse if I choose.

Card Four - Desert Landscape Border/Strange Things
I created the background with mauve and purple inks on a matte finish coated white card stock.  I used an acrylic brayer to apply the inks.  When dry, I embossed the Desert Landscape Border with gold, and the verse from the Inside-Out-For-The-Girls Set of 10 set.  The outside says 'Don't be afraid of loving strange things'; The inside says 'Those are the things that make our weird little hearts happy.'  I also stamped the desert border with some light purple ink, stamping it a little off from the embossed image.
