Create For Yourself

Today is day 20 of the 30 Day Color Challenge at The Daily Marker.    I decided to have a play with a couple of new Magenta stamps I recently purchased.  I'm really loving this verse, and, of course, leaves always make me happy!

To make my card today, I used Magenta stamps.  The package does not have a stamp name.  The numbers on the back are CO7948-I (verse) and CO693-L (leaf branch).

I used smooth bristol paper and my Misti to stamp the branch.  I placed the paper into the Misti, then colored the leaves in layers, starting with the lightest color and moving onto each darker color.  I used Arteza real brush pens for this.  I did spritz the stamp a couple of times to get a more painterly look.  I repeated this process in the upper left corner with a portion of the stamp.
Next, I used Tim Holtz distress inks in crushed olive and tumbled glass to create my background, with my ink applicator tool.  I added some walnut stain distress ink alomng the edges.  The verse was stamped with Ranger's potting soil Archival Ink.

A little gold twine and some gold brads, then mounted onto a brown card on which I had added a bit of maruyama (Magenta, from my stash of years ago).  I have been hoarding this, as I LOVE it.  But, alas, it needs to come out of hiding to make someone else happy!

I am adding my card to the 30 Day Color Challenge at The Daily Marker.
I am also adding it to:
