I have three cards for your inspiration today.

Small Steps
Stamps:  Stack of Books
              Modern Encouragements
              French Text

I stamped the books onto watercolor paper and watercolored, using Arteza Real brush markers and a waterbrush.  I added the French Test, then stamped the verse from the Modern Encouragements set.  Layered all onto an A2 card front.

Who and What
Stamps:  Birthday Queen
              Who And What

I stamped the Birthday Queen cat onto white card stock, and colored with Polychromos colored pencils.  I fussy-cut it, cutting off the crown, and added it to a gray die cut, which I layered onto a mauve scrap, then onto a gray A2 card.  I added a rectangle frame from the same mauve to frame the kitty.

I stamped the verse with VersaFine Clair Nocturne.

Sending Caring Thoughts
Stamps:  Difficult Time Set of 2
               Vintage Lighthouse

I stamped the lighthouse onto white card stock, and used Faber Castell soft pastels with a cotton swab and cotton balls to color the sky, then added some colored pencil, and used colored pencil on the lighthouse.

I added this to a green A2 card front.  I added the verse on a white scrap with foam tape for dimension.

Those are my cards for today.  Be sure to check out the other designer's fabulous cards.  Links are listed below:

  1. Lynda-don't know HOW I missed the library books but that card is spectacular! I'm always painting and cutting out to "add dimension"...when everyone knows it's because I can't keep wet on wet from running outside the lines and making a mess! Very skillfully and beautifully done!

  2. Beautiful cards Lynda. Your books are colouring up to look a little old, and I love the effect. I have no less than 15 books sitting around the apartment just waiting to be read. I have an addiction aside from stamping. LOL.

  3. Great cards, Lynda! I think we all need to remember the sentiment on the first card. Love the lighthouse card paired with that sentiment, and that little Diva cat is too cute! Thanks for sharing!

  4. What a wonderful collection of such diverse card designs, Lynda. My favorite is the first one. The books, sentiment and background work together so well. tfs
